So we built the part that does.
Kilo started because a roofing company could not find software that matched how storm work actually runs. Every tool handled a slice — photos here, estimates there, invoices somewhere else — and the gaps between them were where the evenings went.
The first customer is a roofing company, and it is not a hypothetical one. Every feature in Kilo was built because a real job needed it: a supplement that had to be documented, an adjuster who went quiet, a shingle that was out of production, a homeowner calling at 7am because nobody had told them what happens next.
That is also why Kilo does not try to hold your files. Photos stay in your CompanyCam, contracts in your e-sign account, invoices in your QuickBooks. If you leave, you leave with everything, because it was never ours to keep.
Kilo is made by Nerdy Consultants LLC. We are not venture-funded and we are not trying to be the everything-platform. We are trying to make the part after the storm stop eating your life.
Kilo out-works every roofing app so contractors can out-work their competition.

every departure started the training over. Hiring was not a way out of the problem.
The insight was never that AI would change roofing. It was narrower than that: the boring half of a back office got automatable, and one person on top of it could do the work of four — because they would be making the judgment calls instead of the copy-and-paste ones.
Jess runs a roofing company in Louisville. It was the first shop on Kilo, and every feature exists because a real job needed it — a supplement that had to be documented, an adjuster who went quiet, a shingle out of production, a homeowner calling at 7am because nobody had told them what happens next.
Five trades on one claim, with the estimate written the same day the roof was inspected.

No board asking for a growth curve, and no incentive to become the everything-platform. The product gets to stay the size of the problem.
