Data deletion

Deleting your data.

What to do, what happens, and how long it takes.

To request deletion, email [email protected] from the address on your account, or use the contact form. Say which account, and whether you want the whole account removed or specific records.

Most of your files are not ours to delete. Kilo keeps pointers rather than copies: photos live in your CompanyCam, contracts in your e-sign account, invoices in your QuickBooks. Deleting your Kilo account removes Kilo’s records and its links to those files. The files themselves stay in your accounts, where you control them.

What gets removed: client and job records held in Kilo, message history Kilo logged, scopes and supplements generated in Kilo, and your user accounts and settings.

What is kept, and why: records we are required to retain for financial or legal reasons, held for the required period and then removed. Audit rows that record who did what are kept where removing them would destroy the record’s integrity.

Export first. CSV export is available on every tier including the free one. Take your data out before you ask us to delete it — once it is gone, it is gone.
